JIC-IN-A-BOX Online offers newspaper and website audience data at location level free of charge to guest users. JICREG subscribers may log on using their allocated username/password combination to access the full service.
Features include:
Standard reportsBasic audience reports and area map for a single location (eg newspaper catchment area, town, county, local governmnet area). This service is available free to non-subscribers.
Standard reports show demographic population and audience data for all JICREG titles and websites in the selected area, circulation, pagination and readers-per-copy (RPC) data and allow users to switch to Newspaper Society data for detailed publication information.
Free to non-subscribers, topline readership data for periods dating back to May 2001 are available for download in MS Word (6.0/95) format.
Audience analysisJICREG subscribers may build a customised area based upon a list of postcode sectors, drive time areas or specified geographies (eg towns, counties, newspaper catchment areas) and run an audience report for selected papers and websites within that area. Readership data is available for 153 demographic groups within the user-defined area.
In addition to creating audiene reports, this feature will optionally generate a schedule analysis file which may be imported into any of the three media schedule analysis software packages: PrintPlan (from Telmar), Choices3 (Kantar) and Reach and Frequency Scheduler for Converted JICREG Data (IMS).
Reports wizardThis allows subscribers to create bespoke report structures, selecting only the data and fields they require. Fields may be renamed and re-ordered by the user in order to create a customised template that can be saved for future use. This allows users to generate multiple readership reports to the same design specification.
Enables subscribers to save, import, delete or edit a list of postcode sectors for future use in generating audience reports.
Drive times
JIC-IN-A-BOX subscribers who have purchased the JICREG Mapping component may define a drive time from a postcode sector - either by minutes or by distance travelled and in peak or off-peak traffic conditions.
The drive time may then be used to generate a map showing the total possible drive time area against newspaper catchment areas, independent local radio (ILR) broadcast areas etc.
JICREG MappingAvailable to JICREG subscribers for a small annual fee.
JICREG Mapping was developed with Beacon Dodsworth to make it easier to plan regional press campaigns. It creates dynamic, detailed online maps that may be exported into PowerPoint 2000/XP for user editing/animating.
