The 2005 JICREG Awards were presented at the JICREG 15th anniversary celebration at Vinopolis in central London.  In addition to the three publisher awards, an agency award of £3,000 was introduced for the best submission from an advertiser or media independent.

In their inaugural year, the JICREG Awards were open to regional press sales people who had used JICREG data in presentations made to advertisers or agencies to secure advertising business that year.

The judges included Les Middleton of Mediacom, Gary McNish of AMRA and Paul Kearney of the Derby Evening Telegraph.
